On 21st December 2019, Lunan Pharmaceutical’s two technological projects, “The Key Technology Innovation and Production System Construction of the Industrialization of Traditional Chinese Medicine Granules Based on the Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine” and “The Construction and Application of the Key Technology System of the Industrialization of High Purity Epirubicin Hydrochloride Green Synthesis” won the first prize of Shandong Provincial S&T Progress Award.

Combining with advantages of TCM and modern S&T, TCM is a treasure of Chinese civilization, keeping the benefits of the classics with innovation is the vital part of construction of socialism modernization with Chinese characteristics in a new era. 

As the first TCM project that won the first prize of Shandong Provincial S&T Progress Award, the project of “The Key Technology Innovation and Production System Construction of the Industrialization of Traditional Chinese Medicine Granules Based on the Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine” can be regard as a new history for Lunan Pharmaceutical. Lunan Pharmaceutical developed a series of TCM varieties relying on the National TCM Key Lab including Xiao Er Xiao Ji Zhi Ke Granules(cold medicine for children), Shen Qi Jiang Tang Granules(antidiabetic medicine), Bi Yuan Tong Qiao Granules(medicine for rhinitis) etc, which have been proved to be beneficial for over 200 million patients.

Epirubicin Hydrochloride, a representative of antitumor drugs, is approved to treat a variety of solid tumors including acute leukemia, malignant lymphoma and breast cancer. Lunan Pharmaceutical developed and realized the industrialization of related products of Daunorubicin Hydrochloride for Injection, which has been applied in clinical practice in 1500 medical units in China.
